April 11 Uncle Toms Cabin, an antislavery novel written in 1852 is celebrated on this date. The story was written about a faithful Black slave killed by a cruel white enslaver. The model for the lead charter was Josiah Henson. Josiah escaped to Canada and did many good works for the people there. he also traveled internationally.
During a trip to Underground Railroad sites in Canada, we visited his museum. Read about this remarkable man!
Rainy day. Out walking under a big golf umbrella with a friend saying Hi and Bye to this one and that one. Lots of Easter greetings and talk of the captain captured by Somali pirates.
