Heart of My Heart

Heart of My Heart, originally uploaded by ujima.

February 7,1926 Negro History Week originated by Carter G.Woodson is observed for the first time. In 1976 it became Black History Month.
Black History is American history.

February 7th is the birthday of my sister, Consuella the Queen, who died from lung cancer in 1996 at the age of 60. She, my other two sisters and I loved to sing and harmonize.

"Heart Of My Heart", I love that melody
"Heart Of My Heart" brings back a memory
When we were kids on the corner of the street
We were rough 'n ready guys
But oh, how we could harmonize
"Heart Of My Heart" meant friends were dearer then
Too bad we had to part
I know a tear would glisten
If once more I could listen
To that gang that sang "Heart Of My Heart"
