Reading and resting

Reading and resting, originally uploaded by ujima.

On February 3:
1874 - Blanche Kelso Bruce is elected to a full six-year term in the U.S. Senate
by the Mississippi legislature.
1903 - Jack Johnson wins the Negro Heavyweight title.
1920 - The Negro Baseball League is founded.
1956 - Autherine J. Lucy was admitted to University of Alabama. She was
suspended Feb. 7 after a riot at the university and was expelled Feb. 29.

Reading and resting. Going to club later.
Temple U dental students are having a fundraiser for their trip to Jamaica to fix
poor people's teeth. Chris said that when they went to Haiti last year,
he took care of at least 200 people a day!
