W.E.B. Dubois

W.E.B. Dubois, originally uploaded by ujima.

On February 19:
1919 The first Pan-African Congress organized by W.E.B. Dubois meets in Paris.
1923 U.S. Supreme Court guarantees Blacks due process of law in State Courts.
The Supreme Court decides that due process of law is violated if a trial is dominated
or terrorized by mobs or if a witness is physically threatened.

Tired after being out late last night after Porgy. I did learn that the AAMP ball was sooo
fabulous!! They listened to all the complaints from last year and there were many less
speeches and much more dancing. I'm there next year for sure.
The temps will rise into the 40s tomorrow and remain there for a week. I'll definitely get
in the pool tomorrow!!
